Transforming Education Through Early-Stage Investment

Investing in Education Technology

At Zama Ventures, we believe that education is the key to unlocking human potential and creating a better future for us all. That's why we're passionate about investing in early-stage companies that are dedicated to transforming the way we learn.

About Zama Ventures

The name Zama comes from the Mayan language and means sunrise. We believe that education brings new beginnings, new light. At Zama Ventures, we are committed to nurturing the seeds of your projects and ideas, providing the resources, guidance, and support necessary to help them grow and shine bright.

Our founder

A Mexico City native and a Utahn by choice, Zyanya is the Founder of Zamá Ventures. She brings over 10 years of experience fueling edtechs to expand globally. In her last operational role as General Manager of the Latin America business for Instructure, she turned around an underperforming team, adding half a million new users, and reaching 30%+ YoY growth during her tenure. She’s an active member of the Utah and LatAm entrepreneurship community as an LP at Alaya Capital (Latin America) and an advisor for several startups.  Featured in Forbes Mexico, and a finalist in the Women Tech Awards in 2021, Zyanya attributes her accomplishments to her education and drive for representation of Latinas in leadership roles. Zyanya lives with her husband and daughter in Salt Lake City where they love to cook, travel, and explore the outdoors.
